what this policy covers#
this policy explains how numba handles information when you browse the site, create an account, fund your wallet, or receive a verification code. using a temporary number helps keep your personal number away from other services. it does not make your activity anonymous.
account and session information#
we store your account name, email address, sign-in credentials in protected form, account status, and wallet balance. if a social sign-in option is available and you use it, we receive the profile information needed to create or connect your account.
session records can include your IP address, browser or device information, and sign-in and expiry times. these records let us keep you signed in, manage access, and investigate account problems. the current sign-up form does not require your personal phone number or identity documents.
numbers, codes, and payments#
we store the temporary number, selected service and country, order reference, price, status, timestamps, and any verification code received. this information powers your dashboard, order history, and refund handling.
wallet records include deposits, purchases, refunds, and balance adjustments. payment services may handle additional payment details under their own policies. do not send card details, passwords, or unrelated personal information in support messages.
why we use this information#
we use account and order information to provide the service you request, maintain your balance, deliver codes, and resolve failed orders. session and security information helps us protect accounts and investigate misuse. information you send us about a problem helps us answer it.
where data protection law requires a legal basis, these purposes may rely on performing our agreement with you, protecting the service through legitimate interests, or meeting applicable legal obligations. optional browser notifications require your permission.
product and sales measurement#
we use first-party event records to understand visits, offer selection, account creation, funding-page visits, and purchase attempts. browser storage keeps a random visitor ID and campaign labels for up to 90 days. event records are retained for up to 90 days and removed by periodic cleanup when the collector runs.
these events contain an event name, time, optional service and country, campaign labels, and the referring website hostname. they do not contain your email address, phone number, verification code, search text, or full page URL. when you are signed in, we can connect events to a random reporting identity to measure repeat purchases.
our first-party sales reporting stays on our own server. when enabled by the operator, Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights process page visits and performance measurements, and Sentry processes application errors and performance traces. these services are used to operate and improve numba, not to deliver advertising. browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable browser analytics and client-side error reporting.
minimized sales records and acquisition labels remain for business reporting after customer history or account deletion. sales records contain amounts, service, country, order outcomes, and a random reporting identity. they do not retain account details, numbers, or codes. deleting an account removes the account’s link to that reporting identity.
who handles your information#
number and messaging networks process activation requests and incoming SMS so we can deliver your code. hosting and database services support the app. payment services handle the payment methods you choose, and authorized administrators can access records needed for support and account management.
we may disclose relevant records when required by a valid legal request. a network, payment service, or platform you verify with may process information in another country and apply its own retention rules. this policy covers numba; it does not control those other services.
retention and deletion#
a number normally has a 25-minute activation window. the end of that window stops the activation; it does not automatically erase your order history or guarantee deletion of records held by a messaging network.
completed orders remain in your history until you clear them or delete your account. the wipe-history control removes completed number records from the app database. it does not clear your wallet ledger, minimized business reporting records, or records held by other services.
the delete-account control removes your account and its customer-facing linked records from the app database. minimized business reporting records remain as described above. browser preferences may remain on your device until you clear them. operational backups, security logs, and records held by other services can have separate retention periods; deletion from the app is not a promise of immediate erasure from every system.
security and your choices#
keep your sign-in details and verification codes private. anyone with access to your signed-in browser may be able to view your numbers and codes. sign out on shared devices and never use a temporary number as the only recovery method for an important account.
depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, and complain to your local data protection authority. we may need to verify account ownership before handling a request.
contact and policy changes#
send privacy questions or data requests to privacy@numba.app. include enough information to identify your account, but never include your password or a live verification code.
we will update this page when our practices change and show the revision date above. read the terms of service for activation, payment, and acceptable-use rules.
